We’re delighted to welcome dentist Sonia Myerscough to the team at SmilePlus Dental Care. Sonia joins this month and brings with her a wealth of experience in dental practice.
Sonia graduated from The University of Edinburgh in 1993 and has since practiced in the UK and abroad. During her career she has developed a special interest in implant restorative work and cosmetic dentistry, ensuring her patients achieve their perfect smile. She has a strong belief in preventative health care, complementing our practice-wide approach at SmilePlus Dental Care.
In addition to her practicing, Sonia has spent a lot of time furthering her learnings, completing many postgraduate qualifications. Her studies in anxiety management will be hugely beneficial for our patients who have a genuine fear of the dentist and for young children who find a trip to the dentist daunting. Her calming manner will ensure even reluctant patients are put at ease. She also has further qualifications in advanced restorative dentistry, including crowns, bridges, root canal and gum treatments, as well as cosmetic dentistry. More recently she has also furthered her expertise in dental implants.
A sporty individual, Sonia is known to take part in triathlons and loves cycling. She also enjoys relaxing with a good book and concocting delicious dishes in the kitchen. She is well travelled and speaks Spanish.
