Having healthy teeth is imperative if you want to maintain concentration while competing, but you also have to protect your precious pearly whites, particularly during the rough and tumble of contact sports.
To prevent serious injury and lasting problems that tooth damage can cause, we strongly recommend all sports people wear custom-made mouthguards. With their improved fit, these specially made shields are superior to over the-counter ‘boil and bite’ guards and they can also be produced in varying thicknesses and designs, depending on the sport. Children should start wearing a mouthguard as soon as they start contact sport, usually around the age of eight. This is especially important as their new adult teeth are particularly vulnerable for the first few years after they have emerged.
We are proud to be the Official Supplier of Mouthguards to the Scottish Rugby Union and Edinburgh Rugby since 2009. We also supplied Team Scotland hockey players and boxers for the 2014 Commonwealth Games and continue to supply bespoke mouthguards to International athletes.
Head technician Paulina Ciecielag loves creating unusual designs. She has created designs including tartans, emojis, team logos, initials and much more! Just ask if you have something in mind.
We can visit your club to carry out dental impressions for mouth guards (minimum number 10). We can also design mouthguards for your team, incorporating team colours and logos (prices available on request).
