Our Practice Principal, Fiona Davidson, graduated from the Royal London Hospital in 1986.
After two years working in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal London, St Mary’s and The Eastman Hospitals in London, Fiona moved into General Dental practice.
In 2007, Fiona bought the existing practice at 4, Glasgow Road, and so SmilePlus Dental Care was born. In the same year, Fiona became the Official Dentist to the Scottish Rugby Union, which involves delivering general and emergency dental care to the professional and academy players, and the provision of custom-made mouth guards.
Over the years, Fiona’s love of Sports Dentistry has grown and, as well as the Scotland Rugby stars, she also looks after the dental health of International athletes, swimmers, hockey players & boxers.
Fiona is also a trained Invisalign® Gold dentist, and enjoys providing this adult-friendly teeth straightening treatment. She is an experienced provider of facial aesthetic treatments including anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments, and has trained in advanced techniques.
Fiona lives in East Lothian with her Springer Spaniel, Poppy, and has three grown up children.
