Tooth Whitening

Here at Smile Plus Dental Care we offer both in-surgery Zoom tooth whitening and professional home tooth whitening kits with custom made trays to fit your teeth. The Zoom system gives an instant result within a period of about 90 minutes where as the home whitening can take a couple of weeks to improve the colour of your teeth.

In-surgery Zoom whitening is for the busy patient who does not want to wear trays at night and desires an instant result.

The Zoom whitening process begins by applying a protective gel to the gums, cheek retractors with protective, absorbent gauze for comfort and the use of protective glasses.

The whitening gel is then applied to the front surfaces of the teeth and a high energy light activates it for 15 minutes. The gel is then rinsed off and the process repeated twice.
